The Appearings of Jesus vs. Christ

The different end-time manifastions of the LORD as listed below are based on the terminology given in the Bible that has to do with the titles "the Son of Man" and "the Son of God." Obviously, God must want to reveal a separation between these two titles for some reason, for we know God does nothing without a cause. Apparently, the separation in title does not separate the essence of the person, only the manifestation thereof. For we know that Messiah, Yeshua, and the Christ are all one and the same. Therefore, we see the manifestation of the "Son of Man" (the human nature of Yeshua; the flesh and blood; later flesh and bone man) usually requires the actual physical presents of the person of Yeshua. Whereas many of the "Son of God" (the divine/Spiritual nature of Christ) references denote the absences of the physical presences, while the presents or the working of the Spirit (of Christ/Messiah the anointed one) is discerned. As such, we see many references to the "physical presence" of Yeshua are associated with the title the "Son of Man." Furthermore, many of the references that pertain to the Spiritual presence or that reference the nature of Christ are usually associated with the title the "Son of God." Presently this may sound a little confusing, but once you start to look for these references in the Bible you will begin to see the separation.

"The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children." Matthew 11:19

"When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?" Matthew 16:13

"Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:" Ephesians 4:13

"If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." Hebrews 6:6

You will notice how some of the verses below contain not only the Son of man and Son of God references, but other termed manifestations of the Spirit as shown through the types. I have included these to better point out the different ways in which the LORD has and will manifest, since this is the main theme for this page.

The Manifestations:

As The man Yeshua (The Son of man):

"But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost [Holy Spirit]. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS [Yeshua]: for he shall save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:20-21

As The Holy Spirit (The Spirit of God):

"Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost [Spirit] descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." Luke 3:21-22

The Bridegroom (Christ: the Son of God for His Bride):

"And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom CAME; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut." Matthew 25:6-10

"Secret Coming" (Christ to His Third Temple):

"Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, show thyself to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in him. Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come:[meaning openly at Armageddon, because it must first come secretly at the middle of Daniel's seventieth week] but your time is alway ready… (V10) But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in SECRET… (V14) Now about the midst of the feast [3.5-days/yrs/the midst of Daniel’s seventieth week] Jesus went up INTO the temple, and taught." John 7:2-6; 10; 14

Cloud Harvest (1st harvest of the saints: after the 42-months):

"And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man [note John is having a vision of this, so it's still a spiritual manifestation], having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for THEE to reap; for the harvest [the fruit: Jas 5:7] of the earth [vs. "the vine (root: Mat 3:10) of the earth": Rev 14:18; Deut 32:32-35; Is 5:2; Jer 2:21] is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped." Revelation 14:14-16 (p.p. Mat 13:30 "reapers... gather them into My barn").

The Clouds of Heaven (Yeshua + Overcomers at Armageddon):

"And then shall appear the SIGN [G4591: indication] of the Son of man in heaven [as the army approaches]: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming [physically after the first six vials] in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." Matthew 24:30

Thief in the Night (Yeshua + armies in Heaven: Armageddon):

[Jesus saith] "The thief cometh not, but for to steal [/remove lampstands], and to kill [unrepentant sinners], and to destroy [the works of Satan]..." John 10:10a

"For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty [after 1,290-days: Dan 12:11]. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." Revelation 16:14-16

"In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified IN his saints, and to be admired IN all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day." 2-Thessalonians 1:8-10

"And I saw heaven opened [a physical coming forth], and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness [fierceness of wrath takes place after the 1,290-days or at Armageddon] and wrath of Almighty God." Revelation 19:11-15; p.p. Zephaniah 3:8

“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly [as a thief], and will remove [/steal] thy lampstand* out of his place, except thou repent." Revelation 2:5

*The KJV is in error here; it should be "lampstand" not "candlestick." The Jews burnt "oil," not wax!

As King of kings (Yeshua Christ on His throne: 7th millennium):

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the SOULS of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and THEY lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead LIVED NOT AGAIN until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." Revelation 20:4-6

As God Almighty (God Himself: the Father at the WTJ):

"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away [the current natural & spiritual realms]; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the ["fourth day" Lazarus type] dead [saints] were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Revelation 20:11-12

"And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God AND of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face [this is the fullness of the "open return" after the thousand years]; and his name [nature] shall be in their foreheads [minds]." Revelation 22:3-4

Once again the following terminology used in the Bible to depicted either the "coming," "appearing," or "return" of the LORD are depicted on the chart below. These are not meant to separate Yeshua and Christ, for they are one and the same. What it is meant to show is the difference between what would be the end-time physical manifestation of Yeshua, vs. the purely spiritual manifestations (i.e., in the Spirit) of Christ as shown in the Word. Thus for simplicity's sake I have labeled them according to their biblical narrative:

Manifestation WHO WHEN
The Bridegroom (Mat 25:6-21) Christ: the Son of GOD For His Bride at the Marriage
The Secret Coming (John 7-14) Christ: the Son of GOD To the third Temple at Marriage
The Cloud Harvest (Rev 14:14-16) Yeshua: the Son of Man* Start of the Indignation
In The Clouds of Heaven (Mat 24:30) Yeshua: the Son of Man At Armageddon
The Thief In The Night (Rev 16:14-16) Yeshua & Armies At Armageddon
The King of Kings (Rev 20:4-6) Christ Yeshua The Judgment Seat of Christ
As GOD Almighty (Rev 20:11-12) GOD the Father The White Throne Judgment

*This "cloud" appearing is actually still a spiritual appearing seeing how John was seeing by the Spirit this revelation and how He said it only looked like the Son of man; "And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat LIKE unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. Revelation 14:14
