THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST (Christ's Throne) Judgment Upon The "Quick & Dead" (2-Timothy 4:1)
|
THE WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT (GOD Almighty's Throne) Judgment Upon "The Dead" Only (Revelation 20:11-15)
|
"I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom" "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left." Matthew 25:31-33 |
"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which ALL* that are [left] in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good [0-30-folders], unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation" John 5:28-29 *We know this passage in John pertains to the WTJ for the simple fact that there are many other verses that tell us some other folks must remain dead, until the thousand years have expired. Thus, "all dead" come forth at the WTJ. "And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Revelation 20:11-12 "And the sea [the nations] gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged [likewise,] every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life [which insinuates some will be] was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:13-15

The verses in Matthew 25 above, parallel Revelation 20:4-5, which clearly shows us that the timing for the "sheep" and the "goat" judgment must be at the start of the thousand year reign. Another key point is that the nations as a whole will be judged at this time (nations of individuals, both living & dead). This judgment takes place right after Armageddon. This is the time when GOD is finally at the point where His Kingdom can begin to come forth in and on the Earth. This is when the redeemed will rule and reign over the nations as shown in Isaiah 26 below: "And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counselors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness. And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together [at Armageddon], and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed" Isaiah 1:26-28 Also in Matthew 19:28 we see another account of this same situation involving the throne of Yeshua Christ and the redeemed, ruling and reigning, which confirms the chronology and timing of the sheep and goats judgment. Another aspect that shows the two judgments is found in the verbiage of Romans 14 below. In particular notice how "the knees are bowed" to Christ Yeshua in acknowledgment that He and He alone paid the price for our salvation, but the tongue confess to GOD because it is GOD whom we sin against (Mk 10:18). "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to ME, and every tongue shall confess to GOD." Romans 14:11 Therefore, by simply understanding what events are taking place in any given prophesy, we can begin to arranging them on their proper chronological timeline(s). However, it is never quite that simple now is it? That is unless God first supples the proper interpretation for the prophecy. And that will almost always require the reader to possess an understanding of biblical typologies. |
This is shown as the last of the resurrections or judgments in the Bible. Although, it will still involve two groups of people that are brought out from the places of "the dead" (see Millennial Church pg.). This event involves the final judgment of the remaining dead at the WTJ. It speaks of those in "the grave," not those who "remain alive" at Yeshua's coming. The Bible also tells us that some of these people are going to be saved in this last of the last resurrections, as is typed out by the "fourth day" resurrection of Lazarus from the grave (see Lazarus pg.). It says "Hell" (Hates) will give up its dead; think of this more as a permanent relocation to a warmer climate. You see, Hell was always just a holding cell until the "Lake of eternal Fire" has its grand opening. The Bible also tells us the seventh millennium will experience limited rebellion, and this is why even with Satan bound, humanity will prove once again that mankind will forever be in need of a Saviour.
